(*pra)di(*stavide) e\u1e63a (*sedu)ye garuheasa(*rtha)e<br \/>\n\u2018 &#8230; in the one\u2010hundred\u2010and\u2010fourth (*year), in (the month) \u015ar\u0101va\u1e47a, on the 4th (day), at this (*moment) this bridge is established for the sake of heavy &#8230; \u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The inscription is situated on a boulder where a bridge crosses the Panjkora river, but <a href=\"\/a_bibliography.php?bib_id=Konow_1931\u20132.2\">Konow 1931<\/a>: 26 cautioned that while it seemed to him \u201cas though it were possible to trace <i>se<\/i>,\u201d still \u201cthe reading is highly uncertain.\u201d If a word for bridge is accepted, then an alternative would be to read simple <i>(*sedu)<\/i> (the extended form <i>setuka<\/i> is not well\u2010attested in Sanskrit) followed by a relative pronoun (\u2018this bridge that is for the sake of heavy &#8230; \u2019).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Dictionary of G\u0101ndh\u0101r\u012b has reached 5,000 articles with a total of 23,531 references.
